PRO-TEC adds 500,000 st in Ohio

US Steel and Kobe Steel are adding a $400 million hot-dipped galvanized line to the companies' PRO-TEC Coating joint venture in Leipsic, Ohio, Kallanish reports. The new line will add 500,000 short tons of capacity to the facility when it comes online in 2019. Construction is slated to begin before the end of the year.
