Price rises pause in Turkish scrap market
The uptick in Turkey’s scrap market has paused on fresh deals concluded towards the end of last week, Kallanish notes.
A western mill bought Denmark-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $390/tonne cfr Turkey, while buying another cargo at $388/t cfr for the same grade from the Baltic on Wednesday. A Marmara mill bought EU-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $385/t cfr.
