Prestar Resources returns to the black
Malaysian steel firm Prestar Resources has returned to the black with a net profit of MYR 7.35 million ($1.57m) in the third quarter, Kallanish notes.
As comparison, the firm posted a net loss of MYR 9.53m a year ago.
The firm says in a statement that the group’s revenue for the quarter also rose 4.91% to MYR 139.08m from MYR 132.56m.
The better performance was due to improved margin resulting from the normalisation of international steel prices.
