Port Hedland iron ore exports fall in September
Australia’s Port Hedland saw iron ore exports fall back month-on-month in September following August’s recovery, Kallanish notes. Chinese volumes dropped as shipments to other Asian destinations also fell.
Cargoes to China from Port Hedland in September were 36,046,749t versus 38,138,914t in August or -5.4% less. Average daily shipments to China were 1,201,558t in September versus 1,230,288t in August and 1,246,379t in September 2018.
