Political instability, potential vacuum delay Iraq reconstruction: IIF
The huge reconstruction of Iraq, much touted by steel suppliers as a potential demand driver, could be significantly delayed by continuous political instability and possible elections without clear winners. So says the Institute of International Finance (IIF).
Besides the delay, the resultant power vacuum could leave space for a resurgence of militant forces, IIF adds.
