Polish scrap, slab exports surge in September
Polish scrap exports surged 34% on-year in September to 179,080 tonnes, rebounding from their -6% slump in August, according to data from Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) monitored by Kallanish. The average value of obsolete scrap under HS code 720449 fell to PLN 1,048/tonne ($274) versus PLN 1,167/t in September 2018.
