Polish HR flats imports drop despite Czech-origin growth
Polish hot rolled flat product imports slumped -25% on-year in June to 192,724 tonnes, according to data from Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) monitored by Kallanish.
The most-imported product was HR plate above 10mm thick which accounted for 35,409t, with Ukraine supplying 11,766t and Czech Republic 7,850t. While in the case of Ukraine this was down slightly, intake from Czech Republic rose 24%. Sourcing from Denmark plunged -75% to 2,550t.
