Poland's JSW curbs pandemic impact on coal output
Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) saw coking coal production drop -15% on-year in the second quarter to 2.47 million tonnes, according to preliminary figures. Thermal coal output was worse affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, more than halving to only 500,000t. Overall coal sales dropped -7% to 3.2mt.
Coke output fell -17% to 730,000t in Q2 and sales declined -16% to 650,000t.
