Poland's JSW confirms lower 2024 production forecast
Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) has revised down its 2024 coal production guidance to 13.07 million tonnes. This is due to the force majeure declarations at the KWK Pniowek and KWK Budryk mines last December and April respectively, as well as geological conditions limiting production potential at the Bzie area.
The firm’s 2023 coal production was 13.51mt, of which 10.9mt was coking coal.
