Poland sources less Russian HRC, more Romanian plate
Polish hot rolled flat product imports dropped -22% on-year in September to 209,803 tonnes, after surging 22% in August, according to data from Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) monitored by Kallanish.
The most-imported product was hot rolled plate above 10mm thick whose intake nevertheless fell -6% to 55,071t. Within this, HS code 72085120 accounted for 44,357t, slightly up on-year. Intake of this code from Ukraine was more or less flat at 13,440t. …
