Poland reduces Russian-origin HRC imports, buys Ukrainian plate
Polish hot rolled flat product imports fell -10% on-year in February to 222,059 tonnes, according to data from Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) monitored by Kallanish.
The most-imported product was HR plate above 10mm thick, whose intake actually rose 18% to 56,430t. Its average price was PLN 2,286/tonne ($541) versus PLN 2,712/t in February 2019.
