Poland overtakes Spain in ArcelorMittal earnings list
ArcelorMittal’s sales in Poland surged 36% on-year in the first half of 2018 to $2.39 billion, meaning it overtook Spain into fifth place in the list of the world’s largest steelmaker’s highest-earning countries.
The growth adds to the 25% on-year sales increase registered in Poland in full-year 2017. Moreover, Poland was only $1m behind fourth-placed Brazil and $12m behind third-placed France in H1 2018.
