Pingmei's production recovers in Q2
Pingdingshan Tianan Coal Mining (Pingmei), located in Henan Province of China, saw the output of raw coal fall on-year in the first half of 2024, despite recovering on-quarter in Q2, Kallanish notes. The gross profit slumped as well.
Pingmei produced 7.58 million tonnes of raw coal in Q2, up 14.35% on-quarter and 0.16% on-year, which took output to 14.21mt in 1H, down 7.56% on-year. 1H raw coal output lagged behind the annual target of 30.33mt this year.
