Pingmei, Rufeng plan Henan coke joint venture
China-listed Pingdingshan Tian'an Coal (Pingmei) plans to establish a joint venture with Rufeng Coking in Henan to extend downstream.
The new JV company, Henan Pingmei Shenma Rufeng Carbon Material Company, plans to build a 1.2 million tonnes/year capacity coke plant, Kallanish notes. Public documents suggest the registered capital of the new company is CNY 1 billion ($157 million), with 70% held by Pingmei and 30% held by Rufeng.
