Flooding halts production at Jiangxi Pinggang
Ping'an Iron & Steel (Pinggang) in China's Jiangxi province was hit by floods on 9 July and has had to stop production, Kallanish notes.
One blast furnace, one rebar line and a wire rod rolling line in the plant have been halted. This is expected to affect output of construction longs by 7,000 tonnes/day, market sources estimate.
