Philly Fed sees US May manufacturing uptick
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia reports increased US manufacturing activity from April to May, Kallanish understands.
The bank’s manufacturing survey shows general activity up from an index reading of 8.5 in April to 16.6 in May. About 32% of all manufacturers polled reported higher input prices, though prices received are at their lowest point in the past 17 months.
