Philly Fed sees improving July manufacturing environment
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia expects general manufacturing improvement over the remainder of July, Kallanish learns from the bank’s monthly report.
The bank’s diffusion index for activity increased by 0.3 points to 21.8 for July. The separate but considered indices for new orders and shipments also increased.
Both prices and demand are expected to improve moving forward, the bank says.
