Coronavirus lockdown hits Philippine nickel ore supply
The president of the Philippines announced on 25 March that the country has entered a state of emergency. The lockdown has been upgraded, leading to mining operations in the Philippines’ southern province of Surigao del Norte to be suspended from 1 April to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Kallanish notes.
