Philippines initiates safeguard probe into galvalume
The Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has ordered a preliminary safeguard investigation into imported aluminium zinc (GL) coated sheet, coil and strip, Kallanish notes.
According to DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez’s statement on 15 June, increased imports of those products have caused serious injury to the domestic industry. The investigation period will cover 2014-2018.
