Philippines demand lifts Saudi billet exports in May
Saudi Arabia exported 24,299 tonnes of billet in May, up 36% on the previous month, according to newly-published General Authority for Statistics data monitored by Kallanish. These exports only resumed in January after a ten-year hiatus.
The Philippines took in 16,945t in May versus zero in April, while Jordan’s intake was more or less flat at 7,354t.
