Philippine nickel ore output falls in first quarter
Philippine nickel ore output in the first quarter decreased by -27% compared with the same period of last year, according to data from the country’s Mines and Geosciences Bureau.
This is because more than half of the country's 29 nickel mines reported zero production, Kallanish notes. Only 11 nickel mines in the country reported production in the first quarter, while the remaining 18 were halted due to bad weather and other reasons.
