Philippine billet buyers shun high-priced offers
Billet prices are holding firm in ASEAN despite the lack of buying interest. While exporters are aiming to lift offers, buyers in the Philippines continue to stay on the sidelines, Kallanish notes.
Offers for 130mm/150mm square blast furnace 5sp grade billet for shipment in July/August are generally at $540/t cfr Manila and for 3sp grade, at $530/t cfr. These offers from traders are for unspecified, open Chinese or ASEAN origin material.
