Philippine billet buyers resist lower prices
The Philippine billet import market slipped slightly during the week. The market was quiet as buyers are cautious and staying on the sidelines, Kallanish notes.
Chinese traders are giving out offers at $515/tonne cfr for 5sp grade billet for open China/ASEAN origins for August/September shipment. While some local trading sources say that these were only invitations to bids, importing sources say that these are actual offers.
