Peruvian steelmaker reduces sales but increases profitability
Aceros Arequipa, the main EAF-based longs Peruvian steelmaker, reported a fall in sales of 10% year-on-year in 2016, due to the lower average selling prices of its products, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
The company in 2016 sold over PEN 2 billion ($608 million) of products. In the fourth quarter alone sales reached PEN 511m, -7% below the level of the same quarter in 2015.
