Peru’s monthly iron ore output hits 20-month low
Peruvian iron ore production fell month-on-month in October. Output was also weaker year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
Iron ore output reached 981,332 tonnes in the month. This was down 248,470 tonnes, or 20.2%, versus September’s 1.22 million tonnes and lower by 10.9% compared with 1.1mt in October 2022, according to the latest Peruvian mines and energy ministry (Minem) report.
