Peru's JMP postpones iron ore project again
Jinzhao Mining Perú (JMP) has once again delayed the start of construction of the Pampa de Pongo iron ore project, Kallanish notes.
“The project is delayed until 2021 due to funding difficulties that face the parent holding company, Zhongrong Xinda Group, and its target to restart its operations in Asia,” the miner is quoted as saying by local media reports. The Covid-19 outbreak will also generate significant costs overruns, JMP observes.
