Peru's Aceros Arequipa sales slip in first quarter
Major Peruvian EAF-based longs supplier, Aceros Arequipa, saw its sales fall year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019. This was due to lower international prices over the previous quarter, Kallanish learns from a company statement. The steelmaker saw also a fall in demand for high carbon steel bars used for manufacturing conventional balls for grinding minerals and ores over Q1 2018.
