Peru’s Aceros Arequipa grows fourth-quarter sales
Peruvian electric arc furnace-based long steel supplier Aceros Arequipa (AA) improved its performance both quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2021, Kallanish notes.
Net sales reached PEN 1.44 billion ($377.3 million) in Q4, up 3% on the previous quarter and 36.3% higher compared to the same period in 2020. From this total, exports were almost PEN 275m, down 2.1% over Q3 but 224% more on-year.
