Peru's Aceros Arequipa to expand capacity in 2018/19
Aceros Arequipa, the main EAF-based Peruvian long steelmaker, plans to invest nearly $120 million to expand its production capacity by 40% in the next two years. This is according to a major news agency quoting company president Tulio Silgado.
According to Silgado, the positive outlook for demand growth for steel long products in the country in the coming years is supported by increased activity in the construction sector.
