Peru begins 2021 with higher iron ore production
Peru saw January iron ore output rise year-on-year. The country surpassed 1 million tonnes of production for the fifth time in the last six months, Kallanish notes.
According to the latest Peruvian mines and energy ministry (Minem) report, iron ore output reached almost 1.13mt in January. This volume was 15.2% higher over December and 13.2% more on-year.
