Pembroke breaks ground on Olive Downs coking project
Pembroke Resources has broken ground at its Olive Downs coking coal project in the Bowen Basin of Queensland, Australia.
The Olive Downs coking coal mine is located 40km southeast of Moranbah, and the construction period is 18 months. More than 15 million tonnes/year of coking coal is expected to be sold once it is fully operational, but first-phase capacity is expected to reach 4.5m t/y, Kallanish notes.
