Pandemic-related border closures hamper Jazeera Steel's first-quarter sales
Al Jazeera Steel reported a -4% on-year fall in consolidated sales in the first quarter to 98,153 tonnes due to land border restrictions brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. The firm had been on course in March to surpass its performance target until the pandemic hindered operations.
Production in Q1, however, rose 3% to 101,408t, Kallanish notes.
