Pandemic hits Tata March-quarter sales, annual shipments peak
Tata Steel’s sales in India slumped -15% on-year in the fourth fiscal quarter through March (FQ4) to 4.03 million tonnes. The firm is operating integrated steelmaking facilities at lower capacity utilisation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with mining operations operating normally based on government guidelines. Downstream plants have been suspended.
