Pakistan's Aisha feels benefits of Chinese capacity cuts
An even supply-demand balance resulting from an additional 100 million tonnes/year of Chinese capacity cuts in 2018 should keep steel prices stable, according to Pakistani cold roller Aisha Steel Mills (ASML).
ASML saw shipments rise 3.6% on-year in the six months through December 2017, or first half of its 2017-18 fiscal year, to 114,695 tonnes. Production, though, declined -3.5% to 101,580t, lowering capacity utilisation to 92.3% from 95.7% a year earlier. Net…
