Pakistan's Aisha to move into galv production
Aisha Steel Mills (ASML) plans to install a 250,000 tonnes/year hot-dip galvanized coil line to diversify downstream from its current cold rolled coil output. Management has begun talks with technology suppliers and lenders for the expansion.
The Pakistani cold roller currently has a 220,000 t/y CR mill. It is a joint venture between Pakistani conglomerate Arif Habib Group, and Japanese firms Metal One Corporation and Universal Metal Corporation.
