Pakistani steel imports surge, scrap falls in October
Pakistani iron and steel imports rose 49.2% on-year in October to 390,788 tonnes, while their value increased 39.8% to $254.77 million, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data monitored by Kallanish.
Ferrous scrap imports, however, plunged -25.5% in October to 297,652t and their value fell -13.7% to $105m.
