Pakistani mills hike rebar prices on rupee devaluation

Owing to the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee against the dollar, rise in fuel and electricity costs, and additional input tax cost, steel plants in Pakistan have increased their rebar prices, Kallanish notes. Amreli Steels has increased its rebar prices for all the grades by PKR 5,000/tonne ($28.82/t), starting 21 October.
