PSM gas supply cut over mounting dues
Pakistan’s Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has disconnected gas supply to Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) due to longstanding payment defaults, totalling PKR 98 billion ($351 million), including PKR 75 billion ($268 million) in interest and late payment charges, notes Kallanish.
The Karachi-based gas utility points out that PSM started partially defaulting on its monthly gas payments in November 2008 and ceased all payments by March 2015.
