Hoa Phat furnace accident causes fatalities
Vietnam’s Hoa Phat Group has seen a fatal accident at a blast furnace in its Hai Duong Steel plant. Production levels are not affected as the blast furnace was undergoing maintenance, Kallanish notes.
On Monday morning hot slag spilled and severely burned four workers who were working on relining the blast furnace. Three of the four later died.
