Mechel to ask for state support, considers divestment and strategic investors
Mechel says it won’t be able to obtain significant new borrowings in the near future, but intends to ask for state support. The firm also plans to reduce other borrowing costs, consider certain divestments and invite financial or strategic investors in order to reduce its debt burden, the Russian steelmaker says in a report seen by Kallanish.
