Ostrava ramps up seamless pipe for US return
Liberty Ostrava plans to ramp up seamless pipe production as it eyes a return to the US market following the signing of the US-EU trade deal last month, the Czech steelmaker says. It will however need to train many of the 100 workers required to expand operations due to a skilled labour shortage.
Ostrava’s seamless pipe mill produces some 130,000 tonnes/year and has managed to replace exports to the US, which were halted when the US imposed Section 232 dutie…
