Ore supply approval to help Esco restart furnace
Iranian authorities have given permission for Esfahan Steel (Esco) to procure 1.75 million tonnes of iron ore from two different mines without going through the auction process. The supply of raw material will help the steelmaker restart its blast furnace no.1 in September and ramp up output, a company source tells Kallanish.
