Oman mills hike rebar, focus on Far East
Omani mills have increased their domestic rebar prices, while the local benchmark mill is focusing on rebar exports to the Far East for February shipment.
In mid-December, the benchmark mill concluded a rebar deal destined for the Far East at $590/tonne cfr theoretical weight and is now targeting $620/t cfr theoretical weight for end-February shipment. The exact destination is yet to be revealed, Kallanish learns from market sources.
