Omani mills inch up rebar prices
In Oman, retail rebar prices have increased by OMR 5/tonne ($13) this week to OMR 235/t ($610) delivered. This follows a traders' meeting last Sunday, during which they reached a consensus to keep prices unchanged. However, market sources are doubtful the hike will sustain, Kallanish notes.
For October deliveries, mills have set their new rebar prices at OMR 225-230/t ($584-597) ex-works across all sizes, payable 90 days after delivery.
