Oman wire producer continues effort to improve performance
Oman-based galvanized steel wire producer Gulf Specialty Steel Industries (GSSI) continues its struggle to improve performance, with production and sales still at below breakeven level, according to Singaporean majority owner BH Global.
GSSI, a 60,000 tonnes/year joint venture between BH Global (51%) and Oman’s Takamul Investment Company (49%), has experienced difficulties since its plant in Sohar was commissioned in late 2013.
