Oman rebar demand improves but margins narrow
Oman’s rebar market is seeing improved volumes in November versus last month, but retail margins are tighter. No rebar offers are heard from United Arab Emirates and are not expected in the short term either, Kallanish notes.
The largest producer in Oman set its November-delivery rebar price at OMR 235/tonne ($610) and traders are offering rebar in the retail market at OMR 237-239/t, depending on customer, tonnage and distance to the buyer’s yard from.…
