Inventory glut hampers OCTG increases
Oil country tubular goods inventories are still relatively heavy, making it difficult for mills to push through their most recent price increases, market sources tell Kallanish.
“I supposed if you approached a mill for a new product rolling, then perhaps the $75/st increase would be implemented,” says one distributor. “But most bread-and-butter items are still readily available. We’ll see what happens once that changes.”
