Chinese/Belgian ports collaborate as 2017 steel trade dips
Northern China’s Caofeidian port and Belgium’s Port of Antwerp have signed a memorandum of understanding to boost trade between the two ports (see Kallanish 7 May). A proposed rail connection between the two ports may one day be significant. More immediately however, added regular services between the two could help boost trade in steel which has lowered between China and Belgium this year.
