NZ Steel’s new EAF moves to execution phase
New Zealand Steel on 8 September announced that the company was moving to the execution phase and starting to work on establishing its new electric arc furnace plant, Kallanish notes.
In May this year, NZ Steel announced this co-funded plan with the government for carbon emissions reduction (see Kallanish 24 May 2023). The project was subject to confirming several critical aspects and now all of them are completed.
