Nucor's beam scrap surcharge falls to nil
Nucor’s scrap surcharge for beam products has fallen to nothing, according to the company’s most recent price sheet.
Effective November 16, there will be no scrap surcharge for beam products until next month’s announcement. Announcements are typically made mid-month, Kallanish notes.
The October 19 surcharge was $18/short ton. At the start of the year, the surcharge was $172/st.
